What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is an innovative system comprising of virtually invisible braces which allow you to shift crowded or crooked teeth into a more straight, aesthetic position. These ‘aligners’ are custom made to fit your teeth and are removable, allowing you to eat, brush and floss. There no metal wires or bands which may irritate your mouth and look unsightly.
What does it involve?
The first step to straighter teeth is to visit our certified Invisalign clinician, Dr Kirit Johal, who will provide you with a consultation to see if Invisalign will work for you. He will take impressions (special moulds) of your teeth along with some photographs and a record of how your teeth bite together. This is all then used to make your bespoke treatment plan and, once we receive your aligners from our Invisalign laboratory, you will be able to start your treatment.
You will be given a series of aligners (the number will vary from case to case) which you wear for a set time each. This will all be closely overseen by Dr Johal at your review appointments during the treatment phase.
